How to Generate Google Application Password

Steps To Generate Google App Password

Step1: Go to https://accounts.google.com/

Step2: On the left side menu bard click on Security tab.

The go to “How you sign in to Google” option. Under this option click on “2-Step Verification”.

Step3: If you have already setup 2-step verification you don’t have to do anything, else you have to enable two step verification first.

Step4: After clicking on 2-Step Verification scroll down to the end of the page.

Step5: There you will see “App Passwords” option. Click on this.

Step6: Then select App as Mail for sending mail using Gmail or any app you need. Select Device where you want to use. You can select any on of them. Then click on generate.

Step7: Now copy the generated password and save it safely for use later. Use this password along with your email Id where ever you want to authenticate in your Application.
